Purple Rain

Purple Rain was perfect for our stay! The front deck has views of the beach. The pool was a wonderful add. We rented scooters to ride around. This was our first trip to OIB and it was memorable! The host was very responsive to any needs we had. I would highly recommend this house!

This was our first family vacation in many many years! We had a fabulous time!!! Love the home! I would definitely go again and I highly recommend!

We chose Ocean Isle Beach for my Mom's 85th birthday getaway. The area was quiet,, clean beach, great choices of restaurants & shopping. The home we selected (Purple Rain) was absolutely beautiful & the elevator made it extra special for Mom. We had a few issues, however the response was impeccable. Someone was sent out within 10 mins and the issues were immediately resolved. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are already making plans to return to Ocean Isle Beach very soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Purple Rain. As I know other renters are ultimately going to read thee reviews and make their decisions based on them, I'd like to be as thorough as possible.

1. The Linen service is well worth it. Many of my guests were skeptical, but it is an absolute must going forward. Only complaint, is that the King comforter sheets were very small, almost as if they were actually queen sheets.
2. The house cleanliness was ok. We waited for the manager to do an overview after the cleaning lady left before we could enter the property. The rooms were very clean; the bathrooms (specifically the showers) not so much. It wasn't complaint worthy. As long as the showers were hot and the water pressure was good, we were content.
3. House Amenities- We've been visiting OIB since 2000, annually. This home ranks middle of the pack in terms of kitchen equipment (pots/pans/cups). It has more than enough for folks that dont plan on cooking on a daily basis though. The bedrooms all have flat screen tvs, and the beds are OK. The arcade game in the kids room kept shutting off midgame for them, so they stopped playing after the first day. This is the FIRST House we have ever stayed at where we DID NOT have elevator problems. That was huge as we had elderly guests over and they needed to use the bathroom. The dining area seats MANY and the living room area was spacious and very accommodating. I would absolutely recommend that the cleaning lady clean the cushions. Someone wore a white t-shirt, sat on the couch, and ended up with brown smudges all of the bottom of their shirt. The pool is GREAT. NO complaints whatsoever about the pool. 
4. House condition- The house is in good condition. The steps on the stairs leading into the house absolutely needs replacing. The railing from the top floor to the first floor needs reinforcing. The refrigerator in the storage room can use a good cleaning but I dont think its part of the cleaning service. I would NOT recommend wearing white socks throughout the house. The house is a bit smaller than the videos/pictures lead you on to believe, but it definitely will accommodate the 14 people it says it will.
The air conditioning in the rooms facing the pool on the top floor is a bit weak. We found ourselves having to sleep with the doors open to allow for cool air to enter those two rooms. The ceiling fans were lifesavers.
5. Coastway- We booked through VRBO, but that was only because everyone in the group didnt have their money ready and insisted we use Affirm to pay. Coastway does not have that option- otherwise we would have booked through Coastway. Allie from Coastway is fantastic. She's super personable and very responsive to any issues. I only interacted with her once, but I could tell she's the type of person you would want to report any issues to.
6. I would book this property again. Knowing what I know, I'd come a bit better prepared next time. A HUGE THANK YOU to Josh for permitting us to host our reunion at this property. The on-street parking was super helpful in accommodating our family members that Saturday and Sunday.

We had a wonderful vacation. Close to beach, pool was wonderful, all the amenities we needed. Two dishwashers in the kitchen were fantastic and we also loved the elevator
